ACBS SoCal gathered in Victorville, CA for our first in-the-water event of the 2019 season, enjoying each other’s company and taking spins around the lake.

Maggi & Rob put their newest old boat in the water for the first time — a 1954 Chris Craft racing runabout (currently configured as a utility), and had a great couple of speed runs.  

We call this event the “shake down cruise” because there are often little kinks to work out with our classics after at the start of the season, and this is the perfect opportunity to find those little tune-up items in a safe and low key environment. Many thanks to Marshall and Jen Guthrie and their 2017 home-built Glen L for their help getting the racer the last part of the journey back to the dock!  

Dave and Cheryl Anderson hosted a very tasty dinner at their home on Friday night, and coordinated the show with the Spring Valley Yacht Club — we’re already looking forward to next year.
